Our Story
Our organization was founded in 2024 by a group of teen students from London, Ontario, Canada, who aspire to make the world a better place. With personal connections to Alzheimer’s disease through friends and family suffering tragic fates, we are passionate in raising awareness for this relentless, incurable disease. With this in mind, we decided to found Threads of Minds, an organization striving to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s throughout the country.
We are spreading the awareness locally!
We have visited dozens of local libraries/community centres/clinics to spread our influence via posters and flyers!
What is the Meaning of Threads of Minds?
The "Threads" part represents our method of spreading awareness by selling clothing. The "Mind" is a reference to Alzheimer's disease, which impairs one's mind. This combination of words connotes that we are connecting our audience's "minds" via awareness "threads". One could also interpret the "threads" of the "minds" as brain synapses, which is hindered by Alzheimer's disease. The underlying meaning is that as the clothes are woven, it could prevent the disease in many people by the spread of awareness and preventative measures.
Our sole purpose is to raise awareness of the severity and abundance of the Alzheimer’s disease to protect as many people as possible. The clothing sales will not generate any profit for us.
